Shia Scholars' Council, High Commission for Shia Affairs in Afghanistan hold first joint meeting

AhlulBayt News Agency: Recently, the Shia Scholars' Council and the High Commission for Shia Affairs in Afghanistan held their first joint meeting with the aim of solving the problems and challenges faced by the Shia community in the country.

This joint meeting was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S).

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayyid Hussain Alami Balkhi, the spokesperson of the Shia Scholars' Council of Afghanistan, told the ABNA correspondent that the High Commission for Shia Affairs had prepared a specific work plan and shared it with the members of the Shia Scholars' Council in a meeting.

Hujjat al-Islam Alami Balkhi described the meeting with the members of the High Commission for Shia Affairs as "good" and said, "The Commission has prepared a comprehensive action plan that covers various aspects in the fields of culture, economy, and politics.

This action plan was reviewed in a meeting with the Shia Scholars' Council, and we hope this step will help solve the problems of the Shia community."

When the spokesperson of the Shia Scholars' Council of Afghanistan was asked how effective this collaboration could be in solving the problems of the Shia community, he stated, "I believe this is a positive step and a practical one.

It has been officially established under the administrative structure of the Islamic Emirate and can definitely be useful.

However, it is still in its early stages, and the powers of the High Commission for Shia Affairs are limited. The millions of Shia, who make up more than 20% of the population, need comprehensive programs, and we hope the future will bring positive results."

It is noteworthy that the High Commission for Shia Affairs, headquartered in Kabul, Afghanistan, was established during the Taliban government and works to address the issues of the Shia community.
