One of major supporters of Islamic Resistance in Lebanon passes away

Sheikh Ahmad al-Zain, a Lebanese Sunni scholar and one of the major supporters of the Islamic Resistance, passed away.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sheikh Ahmad al-Zain, a Lebanese Sunni scholar and one of the major supporters of the Islamic Resistance, passed away.

Sheikh "Ahmad Al-Zain", the head of the Union of Muslim Ulama of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the age of 88.

The Lebanese Islamic Action Front expressed its condolences to the Lebanese people, the Islamic Ummah and the Arab Ummah the death of Sheikh Ahmad al-Zain, a supporter of the Islamic Unity and a supporter of Palestine.

Sheikh Ahmad al-Zain was one of Lebanon's leading Sunni scholars, a member of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the head of the Union of Muslim Ulama of Lebanon and a religious judge in the Lebanese city of Sidon.

He always considered the resistance as the only way to liberate the region from the Zionist cancer and believed that the Islamic Revolution of Iran was the forerunner of the liberation of Holy Quds.

Sheikh Ahmad Tawfiq al-Zain was born in 1933 in the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon. He was a graduate of Al-Zahr University in Egypt and was the religious judge of the Lebanese Sharia courts for 35 years and the Friday Imam of the Omri Kabir Mosque in Sidon.
