(AhlulBayt News Agency) - ''Love Earth, Love Peace'' The First Buddhist-Muslim Youth Dialogue
''Global Family for Love and Peace''(GFLP), a non-governmental organization together with the Museum of World Religions (MWR) hosted the 15th Buddhist-Muslim Dialogue “Love Earth, Love Peace,” on Sept. 9th at the Church Center of the United Nations in New York. This is the first Buddhist-Muslim youth dialogue to embrace our young religions leaders, scholars and researchers to reach out to our next generation for a better world. The 'Who is Hussain?' chapter in New York was also invited to speak at the session.
The dialogue was focused on three discussion: 1. How do you see the world today, and how do you hope to shape it for the future?, 2. Does your religion have a role in that vision? If so, how? and 3.What can we all do together to make this Earth a better place?. The dialogue was also co-organized by the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY, and the Chinese American Parent-Student Council of NYC, to offer the valuable experience to distinguished young Buddhists and Muslims.
Global Family for Love and Peace has dedicated itself as a platform for religious dialogue since its establishment in 2002. In the past 14 years, GFLP has hosted 14 Buddhist-Muslim dialogues in 11 different countries across four continents.
