Ayatollah Duzduzani met with ABNA staff

“Our Imams (a.s.) are not comparable to other schools of thought and teachings; and this is the same statement of the Infallible (a.s.) that if the ethics of the Imams (a.s.) and the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) were conveyed to people and they recognized it, they would become followers and enthusiasts of this school.”

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Grand Ayatollah Duzdouzani Tabrizi, in a meeting with members of ABNA News Agency staff, referring to a statement by Imam Reza (a.s.), said, “When Imam Reza (a.s.) said, ‘May Allah have mercy on the servant who revives our cause.’ Then he was asked, ‘How can your cause be revived, and by whom?’ The Imam replied: ‘Those who acquire our knowledge and teach it to the people;’ That is, our followers, the Shiites, must learn our thoughts, knowledge, ethics, practices, and advice, and then convey and teach them to others. Your work embodies this very teaching.”

Emphasizing that conveying the teachings and values of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) is among the most significant responsibilities, he stated, “When people comprehend and embrace these values and lofty ethics, they will draw closer to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school. The Imams cannot be compared to other schools of thought and philosophies. As the Infallible (a.s.) have stated that if the morals of the Imams and the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) are conveyed to the people and they come to know them, they will become devoted followers of this school.”

Grand Ayatollah Duzdouzani Tabrizi attributed the lack of understanding and distance of some people from these teachings to the shortcomings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in conveying their message. “Until a few years ago, the greatest celebration and primary eve of the Shia – Eid al-Ghadir – was not observed as it deserves. For 60 years, I have been deeply concerned why Eid al-Ghadir, the occasion that commemorates and honors Imam Ali (a.s.), is not celebrated magnificently. Even in recent years, I still feel we have not done enough,” he remarked.

In conclusion, he prayed for the success of those working in ABNA News Agency to spread the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). He also prayed to the Almighty God for the elevation of the school of monotheism and the infallible Imams (a.s.).

At the beginning of the meeting, Hassan Sadraei Aref, the director of ABNA News Agency, provided a brief report on the news agency’s activities.
