Ahlulbayt News Agency: The general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine announced the final statistics of its services during the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), until the twentieth of the month of Safar.
"The number of religious and cultural stations reached 180 stations, and the number of cultural publications provided by the holy shrine reached 300,000 religious and cultural publications, while the Al-Kafeel youth stations provided services to 39,531 visitors,"said Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, secretary general of the holy shrine.
He added that"the services of the holy shrine in the field of spreading the Quranic culture came through the deployment of more than 100 stations in which 1,140 teachers participated, and the number of beneficiaries of its services reached more than 532,905 visitors".
He added that " the current Ziyarat Arba'een came in a very hot weather, so the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine worked to provide preventive services, including the deployment of a green Saran cloth to protect from the heat of the sun in the areas surrounding the holy shrines, by hanging 100,000 square meters, 40,000 of which were distributed inside the Old City and 60,000 outside, and the use of 275 water mist fans and 20 water sprinklers".
To accommodate the increasing numbers of visitors, he pointed out that the Umm Al-Baneen(peace be upon her) Courtyard, located on the northern side of the holy shrine, with a total area of 20 thousand square meters, came into service during the Ziyarat Arba'een, and was allocated for female visitors.
With regard to the medical services provided to visitors, the secretary-general of the holy shrine revealed "the participation of 35 medical detachments, 65 teams of paramedics, as well as the participation of 30 large and small ambulances, transportation of 4112 cases, while the number of beneficiaries of medical services in addition to the services provided by the Abbas squad(peace be upon him) reached 4,045,441 beneficiaries, including 80 beneficiaries of cancer drugs, and the distribution of 84.5 tons of medicines."
Within the framework of transportation services, Sayed Aal Dia-Uddin indicated that 1,600 vehicles participated this year in providing services to visitors, and in the waste removal file, he pointed out that the Departments of the Holy Shrine in question removed 4,161 tons of waste until the 18th of the month of Safar.
As for the media services provided to the media, he explained that "the channels benefiting from the live broadcast service amounted to 123 channels, in addition to the distribution of 539 identification cards (badges)".
"The number of volunteers, including volunteers in the Abbas squad (peace be upon him), women and nurses for this year, reached 22,713 volunteers in many locations affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine,"he said.
Regarding the statistics of the Hussaini processions, Aal Dia-Uddin said that "the number this year reached 13,084 processions between service and condolences, including 250 foreign processions".
He pointed out that the number of guidance stations for the lost reached 46 stations that provided services to 10,656 visitors, and distributed 144,000 identification bracelets for children and the elderly, while the badge collection outlets reached 16 outlets.
With regard to food and beverage services, he pointed out that "this year, the holy shrine provided 10,812,984 main meals across 17 outlets, as well as more than 64,654,080 glasses of water, in addition to distributing 235,583 crystaline ice bags and 143,464 Ice blocks".
The secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine thanked the contributors to the success of the Ziyarat Arba'een and to provide the best services to the visitors to revive the Blessed Ziyarat, stressing the continuation of the holy shrine staff in providing services to visitors.
