OIC chief calls for Islamic states coop. against Israel

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha has called for more cooperation between the Islamic countries against the Israeli regime's crimes.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha has called for more cooperation between the Islamic countries against the Israeli regime's crimes.

Hissein Brahim Taha made the call in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of the 15th OIC summit in Gambia on Saturday night.

During the meeting, the top Iranian diplomat thanked the OIC for holding the summit, stressing the need for the General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to form a unit to monitor Israeli crimes and conduct international investigations about it to try the criminal leaders of the Zionist regime.

Taha, for his part, said that the OIC is determined to pursue the Israeli regime's aggression case, saying that the organization's General Secretariat is fully ready to cooperate with Iran.

Referring to the current catastrophic situation in Palestine, the OIC chief emphasized the need for coordination and cooperation between Islamic countries to confront this regime and support the Palestinian people.

Israel waged a genocidal war on the besieged Gaza on October 7 after the Palestinian Hamas Resistance group carried out a historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

At least 34,596 Palestinians have been killed and 77,816 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.

Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.
