Car rally held in New Jersey to call for end to war on Gaza

A car rally was held in the US on Sunday to protest the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A car rally was held in the US on Sunday to protest the ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

A caravan of an estimated 180 cars drove from Paterson to Teaneck in New Jersey to protest in support of Gaza and Palestine.

Teaneck Mayor Michael Pagan told NorthJersey.com that the township’s focus is on public safety.

“We’re doing our due diligence to keep everyone in the community safe,” he said before noting that the township believes the protestors were going to the Al Ummah Community Center mosque.

He added they haven’t communicated anything to the officials.

Township officials found out earlier Sunday afternoon that this was happening and they are grateful to local police departments for assisting, including the Port Authority, Bergenfield, Bogota and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.

Protests against Israeli atrocities in the Gaza Strip have been held in cities across the world since the Zionist regime launched its attacks on the besieged enclave on October 7.

Nearly 22,000 people have been killed and over 56,000 injured in the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

The Israeli bombardments have destroyed 70 percent of homes in Gaza, where 1.5 million people have been left homeless.
