AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In an expression of solidarity with the people of Palestine, who are currently facing a brutal Israeli war of genocide, hundreds of activists in the state of Colorado have been campaigning for the shutdown of the annual conference of the Jewish National Fund (JNF).
For several days, demonstrators have been gathering outside the venue of the JNF's annual conference in Denver, decrying Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza. The protesters aim to highlight Israel is committing and to oppose the fundraising efforts for projects associated with the Israeli ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.
The JNF's annual conference is a prominent event for fundraising initiatives that support projects associated with land expropriation and settlement expansion in Palestine. Activists present at the protest believe that by disrupting this conference, they can draw attention to the injustices being practiced against the Palestinian people.
Over 40 community organizations have signed a letter condemning the JNF conference and rejecting its continuation, asserting that it contributes to the ongoing support for Israel's racist practices.
The Jewish National Fund, established in the early 20th century, is considered the largest organization supporting land confiscation and the displacement of the Palestinian people. The organization plays a key role in expanding colonial settlements throughout Palestine.
The ongoing protests in Colorado reflect a broader global sentiment condemning Israeli atrocities and advocating for Palestinian rights.
