In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Between Brotherhood and Al-Ghadir
Occasion : Al-Ghadir Eid
Best congratulations to Al-Imam Al-Mahdi (May God hasten his
appearance), to the supreme leader Al-Imam Al-Khamenei (May God keep
him) and to all believers especially the strugglers (almujahedin) on the
Greatest Eid (Feast) of Allah, the day of the religion’s completion and
the favor’s bounty, Al-Ghadir Day. We ask Allah (The Most Glorious) to
accept your worship acts and repeat these blessed days on you, in
welfare, mercy, and a supportive victory.
Brotherhood during Al-Ghadir Day
the salient title of this day is: the brotherhood, has received a
special version during this day that showed the depth of the
relationship that Allah wanted among the ward ship's brothers, which as
described by the investigator Al-Nouri that the believer puts his right
hand on the right hand of the other, and says, "I became your brother
for Allah’s sake. I forgave you for Allah’s sake. I shake your hand for
Allah’s sake. And If I will be allowed to enter Heaven, and I get
intercession I pledged Allah, His Angels, his books, his prophets and
his messengers, and the innocent Imams, that I won’t get to heaven
without you Then the other says, "I accepted."
It’s clear that the brotherhood has relevance to Islamic unity and to realize the word of Allah’s content: ﴾The Believers are but a single Brotherhood﴿, (Al-Hujuraat: 10).
There are great meanings and effects for the brotherhood and also important conditions that we mentioned some of:
1- The brotherhood are Allah's sincere : The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his household) said : "the
cherish of a believer towards other beleiver for Allah’s sake is one of
the greatest faith sections . Who loves, hates, gives, and bans—all for
Allah’s sake is one of Allah’s sincere".
2- The great reward : Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.) said: "to
serve a believer is better than a thousand accepted pilgrimages with
its practices, and freeing thousand slaves for Allah’s sake, riding a
thousand horses with his saddle and bridle to fight for Allah’s sake", the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his household) said : ﴾Who adds to his brothers in Islam a new one, Allah builds for him a tower in Heaven﴿, and Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.) said : "who has no interest in multiplying his brothers is a loser".
Brothers’ Relationship
The prophet's family clarified a lot of details which described brothers’ relationship:
1. Fairness, mercy and advice: Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.) said: "Brothers need three things among them :fairness, mercy, and absence of jealousy",and
one of the divine mercy manifestations on believers is that Allah (the
Exalted) broadened the worship horizons and the ways which approach to
him, so he decides that looking at a brother is act of worship, The
Prophet (peace be upon him and his household) said: "Looking at a brother you love for the sake of Allah, the Exalted, is [an act of] worship".
2. Good brothers: Al-Imam Al-Sadek (A.S.) said : "A
believer is the brother of another believer, his eye and his guide; he
does not betray him, nor oppress him, never deceive him or break a
promise he made to him". And the most decent Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his household) said : "The best of your brothers is who helps you to obey Allah, prevents you from disobeying Him, and orders you to please Him", The Commander of Faithful (Amir-al-Mumenin) said: "The
best of your brothers is who rushes into good and appeals you to it,
and orders you to do righteousness and helps you to do it", and also he said: "The
best of your brothers is who guided you to a right path, and made you a
God Fearing, and prevents you from reverting to your capricious".
3. Communication and defects cover-up: The
Commander of Faithful (Amir-al-Mumenin) said:{the most evil human who
doesn’t forgive a slip and cover-up a defect}, and Al-Imam Al-Sadek
(A.S.) said: "who visits his brother (in faith) to pleasure him
for Allah’s sake comes on the Day of Resurrection walking wonderfully
and straddled by two cloths of light, and do not pass anything but
lights him, then he stands in front of Allah (the Mighty and the
Majestic), Allah says to him : Welcome! And gives him considerably".
At the end, in this Great day, the day of Al-Ghadir, guardianship and
the brotherhood between believers on the base of Allah’s unification and
his devotion, also the guardianship of the prophet and their obedience,
we must insist on the desirable acts of this great day and there are
many of them but the most important are: Fasting, ritual ablution,
relatives’ visits, the brotherhood between the believers, reciting the
salutation of Amir-al-Mumenin and The Supplication of Kumayl and
al-Noudba. And many other acts that are mentioned in Mafatih-al-Jinan
and the other books of Al-Murakabt.
All praise is due to Allah the Lord of the worlds.
