Photo: Due to US severe sanctions on Syria, humanitarian flights not carrying out

While Turkey is getting the much needed international help in the aftermath of the tragic earthquake, there are no international relief or emergency assistance flights towards Syria because of US severe sanctions. At least 3,381 people died in Turkey, while the death toll in Syria stands at 1,444 due to the lack of civil defense equipment, with thousands more feared buried under the rubble.
