AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Muslim community of the city of Bugulma and the Bugulma region held a competition among children titled as “Day of the Koran” at the “Irkham” mosque on January 24.
The event began with welcoming words from the imam-mukhtasib of the city of Bugulma and the Bugulma region, Ramil Hazrat Khusnutdinov. More than forty participants took part in the competition. The youngest participant was 3 years old, and the oldest was 16 years old.
The contestants were assessed by a competent jury consisting of the imams of the city's mosques and teachers of mosque courses. The competitions were held in three age categories.
The contestants recited the Surahs of the Holy Koran by heart and competed in the correct and beautiful reading of the Book of Allah.
The event included entertaining games and an Islamic quiz for children as well.
After awarding the winners and participants of the competition with valuable prizes and gifts, all those present were invited to a tea party.
