(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Yemen's former President Ali Abdullah Saleh was killed while escaping from Sana'a, the capital city of Yemen. However, Saleh’s party denies reports of his death.

He was escaping from Sana'a with an armored vehicle, when Saudi-led coalition killed him, along with his VP Aref Zoka and the secretary general of the National Congress Party Yaser al-Awazi.

Iranian, Russian and Arab media said Saleh may have been at the permanent headquarter of the General People's Congress in Sana'a where he has been killed.

There is yet no independent report on the fate of the former president.

The Yemeni Interior Ministry approved the killing of Ali Abdullah Saleh.
