AhlulBayt News Agency - A security source in Salahaddin province informed on Monday that al-Hashed al-Shaabi forces repulsed an ISIS attack and killed six members of the outfit and injured 12 others in an ambush later.
Sharing details about the incident the source said, “An armed ISIS group today attacked several al-Hashd al-Sha’abi militia at Bir Ahmed village, west of Tuz Khurmato district.”
“al-Hashed al-Shaabi later killed six ISIS members and wounded 12 others in an ambush, without hurting the ranks of the militia,” the source further said seeking anonymity, further adding, “The security situation is now under control as al-Hashed al-Shaabi forces forced the ISIS men to withdraw and seized their weapons.”
