AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The output of the training courses for teachers of ethics in Astan Quds Razavi should be more compliance of servants and the staff with the moral life of the Infallible Imams (AS), says AQR chief custodian Hoj. Ahmad Marvi.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first training course for teachers of ethics, he said: “It is inferred that promoting the nobilities of character was the joint mission of all the prophets throughout history, and the Holy Prophet (pbuh) of Islam completed such a mission.”
According to him, virtues are not restricted to laughter and good humor, and the scope of moral virtues is much wider.
He introduced patience and perseverance, forgiveness and self-sacrifice, optimism, good intention, avoiding vices as backbiting, lying, slandering as well as pessimism in the family and society, and all the do’s and don’ts of Sharia as moral virtues.
“Virtues are pure breeze of morality that Islam has set for mankind, so that he can grow to perfection in a clean environment based on healthy relationships, dignity, honor, fairness and justice while serving God. Islam began with teaching, learning, reading and writing, but the same Islam says before teaching, purification of the self must be done.
“The formation of Islamic government by the Prophet (pbuh) and Imam Ali (AS) and the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS) were done to establish an Islamic system with the aim of developing moral virtues in society,” he noted.
“If there is no charity in the society and people do not need each other, kindness will disappear. God has paved the ground for beneficence, charity and kindness in society and socially recommended acts of worship, such as congregational prayers and Hajj in a specific place and time, so that there is companionship and empathy among the people of society,” he enunciated.
He pointed out that inclusion of ethics teacher training as first AQR priorities is because this is the system of God's authority and the behavior of its staff should not be different from what the dignity and position of this sacred place requires.
“Sometimes a proper attitude and behavior can fascinate a person to Imam Reza (AS) forever and sometimes a wrong attitude and behavior can keep a person away from this luminous establishment for the rest of her life. We are responsible in this holy place, and we cannot be indifferent,” he commented.
Hoj. Marvi underscored that holding a training course for teachers of ethics is not a ceremonial and cliché task to provide statistics, but it is done out of heartfelt belief, and that attendees of these courses are supposed to teach people who are working within AQR. “The condition for the effectiveness of any sermon is for us to be our own preachers first; we must first strive for self-purification and self-improvement and then guide others.”
