AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The family of a hunger striking Bahraini detainee is accusing authorities at the kingdom’s Jaw Prison of willful medical negligence.
Majid Ahmad Habib is among dozens of prisoner who have been on hunger strike for more than 20 days demanding better conditions in detention.
According to his family, Habib has been denied access to proper health care services for over seven months.
Habib’s parents told Bahraini rights campaigner Ebtisam al-Saegh that their son was ‘dying a slow death’.
Activists had previously reported that Jaw detainees were being told to end their hunger strike as a condition for any kind of medical treatment.
