AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President described relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Algeria very close and long-standing, stressing that the two countries should develop their trade cooperation and economic relations as two friendly countries.
Speaking in a meeting with the interim President of Algeria Abdelkader Bensalah on Friday on the sidelines of the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Governments of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Baku, President Hassan Rouhani said, “The two countries should introduce new mechanisms for developing relations”.
He added, “Forming the economic commission of the two countries can contribute to development of this cooperation”.
At the same meeting, the Algerian interim President referred to the long-standing relations between the two countries and said, “Iran and Algeria should remove all the obstacles on the path of developing relations”.
He added, “I am happy that the two countries have common points of view in major fields”.
He also talked about the latest developments in his country.
