AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A collective hunger strike involving more than a dozen Bahraini death row inmates is now in its seventh day.
The 13 prisoners, housed in the kingdom’s Jaw Prison, are demanding better conditions including at least two one-hour visits per month and unobstructed family visitation.
On Tuesday, online activists reported that a number of hunger strikers fainted while others were experiencing low blood sugar levels.
Hunger strikes in Bahraini detention centers are frequent over what rights campaigners describe as inhumane living conditions and abuses.
