AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): During Arba’een rituals, people from different religions, sects and ages visit the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), making Arba’een a civilizational phenomenon.
Stating the above at a live TV program aired from Karbala, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, said: “Passion, love, affection, enthusiasm and pure religious emotions manifested in the Arba’een march from Najaf to Karbala are indescribable.”
In response to a question on extreme public welcome of programs with the centrality of Imam Hussein (AS), he stated that after a thousand and some years, the hearts are increasingly growing interested in Imam Hussein (AS). “In the course of history, many people have lost their lives during this pilgrimage, and today, we have enjoyed the blessing of visiting his holy shrine.”
“Although there are minimum facilities available for pilgrims, every year during the Arba’een march, millions of pilgrims come to Karbala. One who gets to the shrine on foot does not think about where to eat and where to rest,” he added.
Touching on Arba’een phenomenon from which a new civilization has arisen, he pointed to the presence of Sunnis and Christians in service stations of Najaf-Karbala route, saying: “While Sunnis believe in the Infallible Imams (AS) and it is not strange for them to set up service stations, what can be said about the Christians, a different faith, doing this?”
“Imam Reza (AS) says if people understand the merits of our words, they will follow our path; we witness the translation of this narration into action in Arba’een and the passion that exists there. Even those who do not believe in Islam fall in love with the Infallible Imams when they come to know Imam Hussein (AS),” he noted.
The chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine, emphasized the necessity of utilizing the capacity of arts and media to introduce Infallible Imams to people, saying that “it will attract many people from around the world if done in a right way.”
