AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Following overcrowding of Arba’een pilgrims a Mehran border, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has ordered Arba’een staff to immediately expand services.

As in previous years, Astan Quds Razavi has begun rendering services from the early days of pilgrims’ presence on Iran-Iraq areas, especially on the border town of Mehran and various points in Iraq.

AQR service stations at Mehran borderline distribute 100,000 daily packages of food, mineral water as well as various services in cultural, nutritional, accommodation, guidance, relief, hygiene and medical areas in addition to transportation for the elderly and disabled by the help of a thousand honorary servants.

Furthermore, over 11,000, 70,000, and 17,000 portions of warm food are distributed daily in Kadhimiya, Karbala and Samarra, respectively, along with various services in the fields of medicine, culture, housing, cleaning-up and so on.

Hoj. Marvi, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, during a phone call with the directors of the AQR Arba’een staff, was briefed on the latest status of pilgrims. Given the increasing number of pilgrims on the Iranian and Iraqi borders, he ordered rendering sufficient services in various areas of nutrition, accommodation, transportation, medicine and health, etc.

He also ordered all AQR service stations to be prepared to expand services, taking into account the wave of pilgrims returning to the country for which the necessary support will be provided.
