AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Bahraini detainee Osama Al-Saghir reportedly fainted for a second time in as many days as his hunger strike nears the three-week mark.
According to activists, Al-Saghir collapsed in his cell after suffering a sharp drop in blood sugar levels over the weekend.
Authorities at Bahrain’s Dry Dock Detention Center are said to be ignoring Al-Saghir’s hunger strike and his demands, which include a request for a coat and the right to receive visits from his mother without intrusive searches.
Al-Saghir was sentenced to more than 60 years in prison after being arrested at a peaceful sit-in outside the home of Bahrain’s highest religious authority Sheikh Isa Qassim.
