AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Leader of the Islamic Revolution—Ayatollah Khamenei—issued a decree wherein His Eminence appointed Hujjatul-Islam Ramezani to the position of the Secretary-General of Ahlulbait (a.s.) International Council.
The following is the full text of the decree:
IN THE NAME OF GOD, THE MOST COMPASSIONATE, THE MOST MERCIFUL
Hon. Hujjatul-Islam Wal-Muslemin al-Haj Sheikh Reza Ramezani,
At the suggestion of the honorable members of Ahlulbayt World Assembly's Supreme Council, I hereby appoint you, as a committed academic figure with abundant experience overseas, to the position of the Secretary-General of Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
Taking into consideration the current sensitive international conditions and the significant status of the followers of Ahlulbayt (a.s.), I express hope you will be successful by the grace of Almighty God to disseminate pure Islamic teachings and promote unity among Muslim communities worldwide by adopting innovative approaches and employing intellectuals and young, competent and experienced staffs as well as by establishing effective relations with scholars and thinkers in general, and esteemed members of the Supreme Council and the Ahlulbayt World Assembly's General Assembly in particular.
I further express my gratitude and appreciation for the efforts and sincere services made by Hujjatul-Islam Akhtari, during his tenure at the Ahlulbayt World Assembly.
I wish ever-increasing success for all in performing the assigned duties by the grace of Almighty God.
