AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Bahraini detainee Mohammed al-Singace who has been on hunger strike for more than 40 days says he might “die at any moment.”
Local rights campaigner Ebtisam al-Saegh shared a voice recording of Al-Singace via her social media accounts on Friday night.
In the recording, Al-Singace also claims that prison authorities are ignoring his “suffering”.
Earlier this week, the detainee was taken to the Jaw Prison clinic for a second time in as many weeks as his health continues to deteriorate.
Al-Singace, who is serving a 10-year prison sentence, is demanding his right to a free and fair trial and for his allegations of torture to be investigated as conditions for ending the hunger strike.
