AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Bahrainis continued taking to the streets across the country over the executions of Ali al-Arab and Ahmed al-Malali as well as the death of a young protester Mohamed al-Miqdad.
Peaceful marches were reported in a number of towns and villages including Abu Saiba, Shakhura, Hamala and Bani Jamra.
Al-Arab and Ahmed Al-Malali were put to death by firing squad despite widespread allegations that their convictions were the result of flawed trials and confessions obtained through torture.
News of their execution on Saturday morning sparked a wave of protests across Bahrain, which Manama’s security forces responded to with force.
The 22-year-old Mohamed al-Miqdad who was taking part in those demonstrations died after the protests were peppered with tear gas.
Activists say the young man died as a result of gas inhalation.
