In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

 

"And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We will take revenge on the evildoers" [Chapter Al-Sajdah: Verse 22]

 

         On Saturday, 27/7/2019, Bahrain's ruthless regime executed the death sentence passed on two innocent young Bahrainis, Martyr Ali Al-Arab and Martyr  Ahmed Al-Malali, after being tortured, using electric shocks, and taking off their toenails to force them to admit offenses they did not commit.

Human rights institutions also stated that the trial of the two martyrs had been conducted in unjust political courts under strict security measures because of fear of the wrath of the Bahraini people.

No international law justifies the events in Bahrain, including the 'state terrorism that has been going on in the past decades. The Al-Khalifa regime does not adhere to any international humanitarian law and pays no attention to international treaties and conventions on human rights.

The dictatorial regime, governing its people through torture and intimidation, has a corrupt judicial system that applies all forms of immoral and inhumane acts of murder, systematic brutal torture, and issuance of vengeful verdicts.

However, the Bahraini state terrorism must know that by resorting to such atrocious acts it will only strengthen the determination of the unshakeable people of Bahrain to restore their legitimate rights, including the right to citizenship, freedom of expression, and the right to political participation.

We, at the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly, strongly condemn the execution of the two young Bahraini martyrs; and remind the Al-Khalifa regime of the divine promise concerning the oppressors and the corrupt: "We will take revenge on the evildoers."

Such repressive actions against citizens, the execution of political activists, the restriction of civil liberties, the prosecution of political activists, imprisonment and torture, and revocation of citizenships are all in direct contradiction to the most basic human rights and international laws and norms.

Therefore, we call on international and human rights organizations to express their anger and rejection of these heinous crimes by all means available to prevent the Al-Khalifa regime from continuing its policy of intimidation and terrorism against innocent citizens.

The Ahlulbayt (a.s.) World Assembly extends its condolences to the great nation of Bahrain and the family of the two martyrs on this tragic and painful occasion.

We emphasize that the blood of martyrs will not be wasted; but every drop of their blood will bring about thousands of free and valiant people instead.
