AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): An unspecified number of detainees in Bahrain’s Jaw Prison are reportedly being denied contact with the outside world.
Bahraini rights campaigner Ebtisam al-Saegh is reporting that the families for the prisoners are deeply concerned after being cut-off from their loved ones.
Earlier in the day, Al-Saegh said in an Instagram post that one of the prisoners, Ali Mirza, has not phoned his family for over a week.
Political prisoners in Jaw are routinely denied contact with relatives. In most cases the measures are temporary and used as a form of punishment against the detainees.
