AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe have sat down for talks in Tokyo.
In the Thursday meeting, the two sides discussed mutual relations as well as key regional and international issues, especially the Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
PM Abe described the JCPOA as an important achievement which should be preserved.
He underlined the Japanese government's determination to maintain and expand age-old relations between the two countries.
He also noted that Iran plays a very important and positive role in ensuring stability and security in the region.
