AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy (BIRD) expressed concern about current conditions in Bahrain’s Jaw Prison, which have become “increasingly dire”.
The rights group said in a Twitter post on Wednesday that one of the detainees at Jaw, Ali Al-Hajee, has not seen his family and young child for over 800 days.
Al-Hajee had recently spent more than two months on hunger strike over his lack of access to proper health care.
He is also among a handful of prisoners that are boycotting family visits due to what BIRD says are “humiliating restrictions”.
