AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Golestan Province on Wednesday to visit flood-hit areas in northern parts of the country and meet with people.
Upon arrival at Gorgan Airport, Dr Rouhani was welcomed by Minister of Interior Dr Rahmani Fazli, Representative to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Nourmofidi, and a number of local officials.
The President immediately set off for flood-stricken areas in the province to have a field visit and look into the relief process and damages made by the recent floods.
Dr Rouhani is set to chair the session of Disaster Management Taskforce of Golestan Province today.
President’s Chief of Staff Dr Mahmoud Vaezi, Minister of Intelligence Dr Mahmoud Alavi, Minister of Energy Dr Reza Ardakanian, Minister of Agricultural Jihad Mr Mahmoud Hojjati, Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr Saeid Namaki, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mr Mohammad Eslami, Head of Plan and Budget Organisation Dr Mohammadbagher Nobakht, and Head of Housing Foundation Mr Tabesh are accompanying the President in this visit.
