AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Bahraini teenager Sayed Ali Taha has reportedly been moved to the Dry Dock Detention Center after spending the last three months in the custody of Manama’s security services.
According to rights campaigner Ebtisam Al-Saegh, Taha contacted his family early on Tuesday morning and informed them of his whereabouts.
The circumstances surrounding Taha’s imprisonment are confusing at best.
Al-Saegh reports that the 15-year-old remains behind bars despite having been granted bail and being given a 6-month suspended sentence.
The reasons for his arrest are unclear.
Rights groups have repeatedly accused Manama of jailing Bahraini minors without proper cause and then subjecting them to ill-treatment in detention.
