AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Bahraini teenager, Hassan Hamza Said, had his detention extended by a further week on Thursday.
The extension was reportedly ordered after the public prosecutor’s office failed to deliver the 14-year-old’s file to the designated judge in time for Thursday’s hearing.
Said was arrested with two other minors, Hussein Radhi and Ali Hussein Abdulwahab, last month.
Radhi and Abdulwahab have since been released but are due to stand trial on March 17 for allegedly taking part in an illegal gathering.
Rights campaigners have repeatedly accused Manama of jailing Bahraini minors without proper cause and then subjecting them to ill-treatment in detention.
