AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President described producing high quality brands and goods as something that attracts people’s confidence, and stressed, “Good quality and price leads to the success of Iranian goods against foreign ones”.
Addressing the officials of Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare on Monday morning, Dr Hassan Rouhani said, “Unemployment is the main cause of social problems and creating jobs is a national responsibility”.
“A worker and an engineer who work well create social confidence and vitality,” said the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He continued, “Building confidence between the employer and the employee is one of the most important missions of the labour ministry”.
Stating that the employment figures in the government has increased to 24 million people from 20.6 million, he said, “We are still far from the number we need”.
“Knowledge-based services and companies have a huge capacity for employment,” he continued, adding, “Knowledge enterprises have had 600 trillion rials of income in 2017, along with 300,000 jobs”.
Dr Hassan Rouhani also went on to say, “Entrepreneurship should focus on non-oil export”.
He added, “Aquaculture production has increased 40 times compared to 1979 and we are self-sufficient and wheat production”.
Stating that in sugar and oil production, the country is on the verge of becoming self-sufficient, the President said, “Although we are under sanctions, helping people’s problems, especially employees, is our duty”.
He also said that the positive points should be said to the society alongside the problems, adding, “Helping to solve the problems of the society is very valuable”.
The President stressed that NGOs should take over the affairs as soon as possible, adding, “Social Security services should be delivered to people electronically”.
“The private sector should be the axis for delivering social welfare services,” the President continued.
Dr Rouhani added, “The Supreme Leader has told me several times that the armed forces must abdicate economic affairs and carry out their own responsibility”.
Saying that every capable Iranian, regardless of their ethnic or religious group, must have the opportunity to be a manager, he said, “Young people have the power to decide for themselves”.
