AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Tripartite Summit of Presidents of Iran, Russia and Turkey for discussing developments in Syria commenced on Thursday evening in Sochi, Russia.
President Hassan Rouhani and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were welcomed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin upon arrival at the summit hall.
After posing for a photo, presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Turkey and the Russian Federation began their meeting on Syria.
The tripartite summit of Iran, Russia and Turkey is held with the aim of discussing the progress of the Astana Process and domestic political processes in Syria.
Dr Hassan Rouhani had separate meetings with the presidents of Turkey and Russia before the tripartite summit.
