AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): At least 13 Bahrainis have been arrested during the latest raids by the kingdom’s security services on Thursday.
Nine of those were reportedly detained in the northern Bahraini village of Al Daih.
The arrests come as the country marks eight years since uprising against Bahrain’s ruling Al Khalifa clan.
Recent days have since a spike in arrests with 23 people taken into police custody on Tuesday alone.
Since the start of the uprising in February 2011, thousands of Bahrainis have been detained without proper cause or an arrest warrant.
Many were subjected to torture and other forms of ill-treatment at the hands of the security services.
