AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Eight years after the start of Bahrain’s popular uprising, the country’s opposition Al-Wefaq movement is sticking to its demands for political reforms.
The anniversary of the pro-democracy protests that saw tens of thousands take to the streets falls on February 14.
Ahead of the occasion, Al-Wefaq said in a statement that the people of Bahrain are determined to carry on with the struggle for change.
According to the group, Bahrainis have become even more convinced of Manama’s “corruption, tyranny and recklessness” over the years.
Al-Wefaq described the country’s deteriorating situation as “frightening”, warning of a bleak future.
