AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Zionist terrorism is the main reason of problems in the region, the former Iraqi prime minister said on Saturday.
Referring to the attempts made by some states to normalize relations with Israel, Nouri al-Maliki said at the 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran that the issue is indicating a big threat as the Western Colonialism has always been seeking to create a second entity beside Muslim world.
Member of the General Assembly of Ahlulbayt World Assembly said that the problems Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Palestine and Lebanon are struggling with are created by the Zionist terrorism.
The terrorism and hegemony are seeking to destroy resistance, he said, adding that what the region is really in need of is resistance.
Israel and its allies are bearing a grudge against Iran since the country has held them back from reaching their goals, he said.
The 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference under the theme of “Quds, Axis of Unity Among Ummah” opened Saturday morning. It will be wrapped up on Monday.
