AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Five of the 12 Iranian border guards, who were kidnapped by terror groups in southwestern Iran, were freed and returned Iran, wrote Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in a statement on Thursday.
'Following the attempts made and talks held with Pakistan for freeing the Iranian border guards, abducted by Jeish ul-Adl terrorist group, five of them were released and returned home on Wednesday evening,' read the IRGC statement.
On October 16, terrorists kidnapped 12 Iranian forces, including local Basij volunteer forces and border guards, near the town of Mirjaveh on the Pakistani border.
