Pres. Rouhani: Enemies not able to deviate Iranian nation’s path from independence, freedom

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Stating that the United States thought that they could bring Iranian people to their knees through economic pressure, the President said, “We won’t let pressures by the US and its mercenaries to create major problems for the Iranian nation and we will never surrender under any pressure”.

Addressing the people of Khoy County on Monday, President Rouhani added, “Azerbaijan has always been the great stronghold of protecting our great Iran. Being the guest of the brave people of Khoy County is a great honour for the government”.

President described visiting West Azerbaijan Province and visiting the people of the province a great honour for the officials, adding, “We are all proud of Iran and Azerbaijan as the great stronghold of protecting our great Iran”.

“I appreciate the noble, brave people of Iran for standing firmly against pressures in these months when the enemies wanted to make us regret our independence, freedom, Islam and democracy,” he continued.

The President added, “The enemies of the Iranian nation wanted to see Iran in turbulence on Aban 13, and watch Iranian people’s sadness, but the people demonstrated their resistance and steadfastness against the enemies on that day”.

He continued, “We will make all our enemies understand that they will not be able to deviate us from the path of our lofty goals by putting the people under pressure and create economic issues for the people”.

We will remain independent and free and will not yield to US pressures, said Rouhani, adding, “Those ruling the White House must know that the people of Iran are brave and great and we will not surrender to any power, but only to the Almighty”.

“The enemies are trying to put economic pressure and wage psychological war against the people of Iran. They think that the people will surrender to their bullying under these pressures,” he added.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also said, “The people of Iran must know well that we have been loyal to our commitment. We have never started a dispute or economic war against anybody, but our enemies are trying to avenge the people of Iran due to their consecutive failure in the region”.

Dr Rouhani continued, “Alongside the people of Iran, all people from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the entire World of Islam are in favour of resistance, faith, Islam and their independence. Of course, whenever our Muslim brothers ask for our help, we will carry out our dity and help them”.

“Of course, we worked hard to not let you dominate ISIL in this region. We know that you are angry and upset,” added the President.

He went on to say, “We know that you feel you have failed and we know that you were not able to reach your goals in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. We know that you have to surrender to the people of Yemen, but why do you want to avenge the people of Iran? Go back and correct your mistakes”.

Dr Rouhani said, “You are trying to stop our oil export by you won’t be able to do so. If you are thinking about sever our relations with our neighbouring countries, you won’t be able to do so and if you are thinking about putting pressures on people, you won’t succeed in this incorrect path”.

“We will establish better, closer relations with our neighbours. We will strengthen our relations with the Azerbaijan Republic, Turkey, Iraq and other countries day by day,” continued the President.
