AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Rights campaigners are reporting that Bahraini detainees Naji Fattil and Ali Al-Haji have been transferred to solitary confinement after the release of audio recordings in which the prisoners allege torture and other abuses.
The pair also claimed that they were being denied access to desperately needed medical care required to treat injuries they sustained during the grueling torture.
Both men are serving lengthy prison terms over their criticism of Manama’s human rights record.
According to prominent Bahraini activist Ebtisam Al-Saegh, the prisoners were thrown into solitary on Monday.
Al-Saegh reported on her social media accounts that she received phone calls from other inmates at Bahrain’s Jaw Prison, who expressed concern for the wellbeing of Fattil and Al-Haji.
