AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A 20-year old Palestinian was injured, on predawn Sunday, after Israeli forces raided his family home and shot him while asleep in the Nahalin village, in the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem.
The Palestinian was identified as Nour al-Din Shakarneh, 20, and was injured after Israeli forces raided his home in Nahalin village without anyone’s knowledge and shot him with a live bullet while asleep.
According to the Shakarneh family, Israeli forces broke into the home around 5 a.m. and began firing live bullets and stun grenades, causing material damage to parts of the home.
It is noteworthy that Nour lives in the home along with his parents, brother and sister-in-law, and two young children.
No other injuries were reported among the Shakarneh family.
The Shakarneh family confirmed that Israeli forces attempted to detain Nour, however, the family prevented the detention and transferred him to a nearby hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.
Nour was reported to be injured in his pelvis and is in moderate condition.
Israeli raids into Palestinian towns and villages, while opening fire at defenseless Palestinians, are near daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem al-Quds.
