AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): At least nine Bahraini youths were detained by Manama’s security forces in the early hours of Friday morning.
Activists are reporting that the young men were arrested in the coastal Bahraini village of Malkiya after police raided their homes.
There is no word yet on the reasons for the arrests or the exact location where the group is being held.
Those taken into custody by the kingdom’s security apparatus are often denied their right to a lawyer and are subjected to ill-treatment.
Many have also been held incommunicado for extended periods of time.
