AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A revered source of emulation described weak management as Iran’s greatest problem and emphasized, “We repeatedly reminded the officials but it had no effect. We demand a quick and decisive approach to the corruptors and the profiteers.”
In a meeting with a group of members of the grassroots jihadi groups in Tehran, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani emphasized on serving and helping people, especially in deprived areas, and said, “According to narrations, service to the noble people is considered as worship.”
The revered source of emulation stated that, based on the religious teachings, the people are the axis of society, adding, “Imam Ali introduced the people as the origin and the owners of the revolution in all of his proclamations. Therefore, the value of the people must be known. In one of his letters to Malik al-Ashtar, the Commander of the Faithful said that the people are the pillars of religion.”
Expressing concern at the inadequate living conditions of the people, said, “Today, our people are facing a poor standard of living and the poor of society have become hopeless in their daily lives, so why don’t the officials act with urgency?”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani continued, “Why aren’t the corruptors and profiteers dealt with? Some people are abusing the current situation and have become more austere in supplying goods to the people. Such individuals must know that anyone who oppresses the people will face a hard punishment in the world and in the hereafter.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom considered weak management as Iran’s greatest problem, saying, “Unfortunately, there is no dignity in pricing. I do my own personal shopping and I see that the prices of goods increase every day. I sense the suffering and the problems of the people first hand. I’m not just reporting this issue but rather I go into the market myself.”
He said, “People come to us and complain and we’ve received many letters. The beloved people must know and not complain about the sources of emulation, ‘why did you keep silent?’ We repeatedly asked the officials, but unfortunately, we didn’t see any urgent action.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani noted, “Unfortunately, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) doesn’t reflect the remarks of the sources of emulation, the scholars and the Islamic Seminary. For this reason, some people suspect that we are silent while the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei], the sources of emulation and the Islamic Seminary are most upset with this situation.”
He added, “Mankind is ashamed that these people who support the Islamic system of government and the Islamic Revolution in all circumstances are facing such a situation. Once again, as a student of the Qom Seminary of Qom, I request the officials, who must be united just as the Supreme Leader has said, to avoid dissension and marginal issues. Also, by relying on God and then internal power, they must solve the problems of the people.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that we must not surrender to the enemies’ pressures and said, “The youth say that they can turn the enemies’ pressures into opportunities. God-willing, the future of this revolution will be bright through efforts and reliance on God.”
