AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Yemeni soldiers and their allies attacked Dubai International Airport using a domestically-built long-endurance Sammad-3 (Invincible-3) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Monday evening.
The spokesman of Yemen’s armed forces, Brigadier General Sharaf Luqman, said that Samad 3 targeted Dubai airport and disrupted operations there for some time, Saba news agency reported.
The entire UAE is now within the range of Yemen's homegrown ballistic missiles, he added, urging business activists not to invest in the Persian Gulf littoral state and leave the UAE.
The spokesmen stressed, “The missile force and drones are capable of reaching and destroying their targets”.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), however, denied reports on Monday that Yemeni forces had attacked the Dubai airport with a drone, and said operations were unaffected.
The UAE is Saudi Arabia’s key ally in its deadly war against Yemen.
Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating military campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the aim of bringing the government of Yemen's former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, back to power and crushing the country’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement.
The aggression has killed some 15,000 people and injured thousands more. More than 2,200 others have died of cholera, and the crisis has triggered what the United Nations has described as the world's worst humanitarian disaster.
