Azeri people’s interest in infallible Imams (A.S.) stops takfiri groups’ growth

Friday prayer leader of Baku said, "Azeri people have made more acquaintance with the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) in recent years; this issue has hampered formation and infiltration of Takfiri groups in Azerbaijan".

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Friday prayer leader of Baku said, "Azeri people have made more acquaintance with the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) in recent years; this issue has hampered formation and infiltration of Takfiri groups in Azerbaijan".

In a meeting held today’s noon with Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Jalal Hosseini, Astan Quds Razavi’s Deputy Assistant of Islamic Advertising, Shahin Hasanli, Friday prayer leader of Azerbaijan’s Baku, emphasized on the expansion of cultural relations and interactions and said, "Following the collapse of Soviet Union, new independent nations became more thirsty for the religious teachings and many young people became intimate with spirituality and more willing to receive these mankind making teachings".

Noting that it is clergy who transmit these beliefs to the society, he stated, "At the moment, a new generation of clergymen who is also trusted by people has started many vast and continues activities in this field". He also mentioned, "Most of these people were graduates of Mashhad and Qom seminary schools".

Baku Friday prayer leader added, "Azeri people have made more acquaintance with the household of the Apostle of God (S.A.W.) in recent years; this issue shows their love toward infallible Imams (A.S.) and it has hampered formation and infiltration of Takfiri groups in Azerbaijan".

"This is the third time that we are visiting Razavi Shrine. We have come to Mashhad this year with a 700-person group and we will leave this place for Najaf and Karbala holy cities to participate in Arafah ceremony there", Shahin Hasanli added.

In continuation of this meeting, Astan Quds Razavi’s manager of Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs offered a report on presence of Azeri pilgrims in Razavi complex and stated, “Over forty thousand pilgrims from Azerbaijan visit Razavi Shrine every year and this number is growing every day with respect to the ties development between two governments".

Muhammad Javad Hashemi Nejad reiterated, "Developing cultural and spiritual collaborations and relations between these two countries can provide all the faithful people more spirituality".
