AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A Palestinian youth succumbed on Saturday morning to wounds he had sustained during protests at the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday.
Locals confirmed that Mumen Fathi al-Hims, 18, succumbed to wounds he had sustained by an explosive bullet in the stomach in the return camp of eastern Rafah on Friday.
Al-Hims was transferred to the European hospital following his injury, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, al-Hims’ death brings the death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since March 30th, when the "Great March of Return" started, to 155.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces opened live fire at a group of Palestinians near the return camp of Khuzaa in eastern Khan Younis in the southern besieged Gaza Strip.
A Ma'an reporter said that an 11-year-old Palestinian boy was injured with a live bullet in the leg and was transferred to the Nasser Hospital for treatment.
Two other Palestinians were killed, including 14-year-old boy, and at least 246 were injured during protests in Friday.
The "Great March of Return" protests were launched by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza -- which has suffered from a decade-long Israeli siege -- who took to the borders to demand their right of return as refugees to their original homelands.
Israel has come under widespread international condemnation for its use of excessive force and live ammunition against unarmed protesters.
