(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Bahraini detainee Amira AlQashaami is reportedly facing restrictions after prison guards discovered a pen in her possession.
Rights campaigners are reporting that the threat of punishment comes despite the fact that Amira had previously received permission from prion authorities to use the pen for some of her writing.
Her family has voiced concern over the possibility that the new measures may involve depriving Amira of some of her rights.
Amira, who is serving a 5-year prison sentence, is the daughter of Shiite cleric Sheikh Mohamed Saleh Al-Qashami.
She was arrested along with her father and brother last February and accused of aiding fugitives before being convicted during a mass trial.
