(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Bahraini detainee Mohamed Al-Mulla has reportedly been transferred to solitary confinement shortly after his brother Haidar Al-Mulla went on hunger strike.
The two brothers are both serving lengthy prison terms and were stripped of their Bahraini citizenship over what activists describe as politically motivated charges.
On Tuesday, activists reported that 17-year-old Haidar started observing a hunger strike in protest of his ill treatment in detention.
The teenager is apparently being ‘blackmailed’ by authorities at Bahrain’s Dry Dock Detention Center, who are demanding that he sign a false confession or remain in solitary where he has already spent a month.
