(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A Manama court adjourned a mass trial on Tuesday involving 171 defendants who were detained during last year’s deadly raid on Diraz.
The next hearing has been scheduled for September 17.
The group is being tried for taking part in a sit-in near the home of Sheikh Isa Qassim, which was attacked by Manama’s security forces last May.
Aside from the hundreds of arrests, five people were killed, and Sheikh Qassim was placed under house during the raid.
In January, 140 defendants in the case were freed on bail. Others, who face more serious charges including assaulting police officers, remain in detention.
