Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to ensure that takfiris and sectarian hate mongering people must not be allowed to contest Elections.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to ensure that takfiris and sectarian hate mongering people must not be allowed to contest Elections.

“Sectarian hatemongering and takfiri outfits were banned because of their violent extremism and terrorism therefore it is obligatory on the ECP to throw them out of electoral process too,” he urged, addressing a meeting of the MWM Sindh chapter’s officials at Wahdat House in Karachi.

He warned that participation of banned takfiri outfits ringleaders in Elections posed serious existential threat to national security. He said that elections laws and National Action Plan too are clear against the terrorists and their facilitators hence ECP needs to shoulder its responsibility.

Allama Jafari said that many ministers of outgoing PMLN government had facilitated the banned terrorist outfits for their vested interest and that policy brought massacre of Pakistani civilians and security forces and this mindset must be abandoned.

He alerted the political parties to refrain from making adjustments with the takfiris of banned outfits because that would be deleterious for Pakistan.
