(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Protesters took to the streets across Bahrain on Friday night demanding the withdrawal of U.S. forces stationed in the Gulf kingdom.
Demonstrators carried posters reading ‘leave our land’ and shouted slogans against Washington’s support for the Manama regime.
The highly strategic Bahrain is home to the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command as well as the U.S. Fifth Fleet.
Meanwhile in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people, some of the protesters stepped on images of U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu.
Friday’s rallies were reported in a number of towns and villages including Abu Saiba, Shakhura, Al Daih, Karbabad, and Buri.
Bahrain’s security forces responded to the protests in some areas with force.
In Bilad al-Qadeem, a suburb of Manama as well as the village of Ma’ameer, tear gas was used to disperse the crowds.
