Shariatmadar: Iran's Revolution forms foundation of modern Islamic civilization

According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – Iran's cultural advisor in Lebanon stated at the opening ceremony of Qom's cultural week: "Nabatieh is known as the city of Imam Hussain (AS) and resistance and martyrdom is now hosting representatives of Masoumeh (SA), Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei." 

Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Shariatmadar added: "Karbala is known as the symbol of martyrdom due to the presence of Imam Hussain (AS) and samarra have also turned into a city in which people's heart beats with love for Imam Mahdi (AS)'s manifestation."

He continued: "Qom has turned into the city of revolution and jihad and knowledge and became sacred with light of Imams and will continue to shine."

Iran's cultural counselor said: "Nabatieh is also sacred due to its attachment to Imam Hussain (AS) and Ashura and many great people who are loyal to Imam Hussain (AS) and Fatima (SA) and love them are gathered here in this city."

Shariatmadar said: "today you can smell the Islamic Revolution all the way down to Nabatieh. Qom was the first city to answer Imam Khomeini's call and its people became pillars of resistance and revolution and they formed the foundation of the new Islamic civilization and hopefully they will set the stage for Imam Mahdi (AS)'s manifestation and rise."

Iran's cultural counselor in Lebanon also added: "the Islamic Revolution stared in Qom and is still fighting the tyrants such as the U.S andIsrael for taking weak people's rights."

He continued: The resistance is still standing with the guidance of its brave leader and its supporters also emerged victorious in Lebanon and I congratulate them and the people of Iran."

Iran's cultural counselor also emphasized that this cultural event which is opening in the presence of the Chairman of the Hezbollah Executive council and Islamic Republic of Iran's Ambassador in Lebanon was being planned for months in Qom and Nabatieh."

He also added: "this exhibition was suggested by Iran's cultural advisors and is being held in more than 3000 square meters and is provided with different booths from Masoumeh (SA)'s shrine, Jamkaran's mosque, Ahlul Bayt World Assembly, Seminary schools of Qom and many other cultural, religious, economic and sportive booths."

He stated: "raising Masoumeh (SA)'s flag in a garden named after her holiness in Nabatieh, Quranic programs, speeches about resistance, scientific and religious sessions and playing 10 famous Iranian movies such as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are parts of this cultural event's schedule."

Shariatmadar reminded: "meeting of Islamic sciences and the presence of scholars and meetings between tourists and economic activists for signing memorandum of cooperation and visiting the city and resistance monuments are other parts of this event."

He also said: "Lebanese and Iranian media showed special attention to this event and a media center was created to help them cover this event."

He added in the end: "I appreciate and thank all the Iranian and Lebanese characters and centers that have contributed to this event. I also thank Hezbollah and its commanders who helped us and are involved in this cultural event.
